We spent three nights at the Cottage with Garden View. The location is lovely, making it easy to visit Filey, Bridlington, and Scarborough. The cottage is cozy and well-equipped with a clean kitchen area. The beds were comfortable, and it provided a nice space to relax. The nearby coastal and country walking trails added to the experience.

I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Oak. The family run vibe made me feel right at home. Good breakfast options, especially the homemade chips with the steak. The room itself was decent but could have used a few more amenities like coat hangers. The kitchen had a strange smell at times, likely from cleaning products, and some dust in corners. Only one towel each wasn't great. I ended up bringing my own hand towels. The honestly misplaced 'garden view' claim was a letdown too, as I expected more greenery than just fields visible from the car park. Staff were accommodating but could have done with checking the cleanliness of tables a bit better. Despite these quirks, the lovely location made exploring Filey and Bridlington easy. Perfect for families with the playgym upstairs for kids. |cozy atmosphere|good food

Had a blast with friends! The place is perfect for groups, and we enjoyed checking out the nearby bird garden and playing darts. The kids' playground was a hit! Great food options, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely a fun spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
Only downside was that our table felt sticky, which made us a bit uncomfortable while eating.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Our family enjoyed a cozy stay in the cottage. The nearby coastal trails provided beautiful walks. Remember to bring extra towels and supplies, as only one towel each was provided. a pleasant experience, though the kitchen cleanliness could be improved.

Upon entering, there was an odd smell in the kitchen that seemed to stem from cleaning products, and I found the place somewhat dusty in spots. The milk and sugar bowl was not properly washed, sticking me with sugar residue, and while there was one towel per person, I had to bring my own tea towels and washing up liquid. The claim of a garden view was misleading. the only greenery visible was from the car park looking at open fields. for those who enjoy their morning brews, having a couple of coffee sachets would have been nice, alongside better window-opening facilities to access those skylights.
